Have You Experienced the Loss of an adult son, daughter or sibling with Intellectual Disability?

The death of a son or daughter, regardless of their age, is devastating for parents and siblings.  Parent or sibling grief is profound and complex. The grief process contains similar elements for all bereaved parents and siblings, but for those whose adult daughter, son, or sibling with an Intellectual Disability has died, there may be additional factors that affect their grief.

My name is Emma Victoria Conway.  I am completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

I am looking for parents and siblings to participate in research, which aims to understand the experience of grief following the loss of an adult child with an Intellectual Disability.

This involves talking to me about your experience of loss.

If you are a parent or a sibling who is bereaved I would be interested in talking to you about the research in greater detail.
