The arts are thriving in County Wicklow! Sunbeam House Services service-users are excelling in many different facets of artistic endeavour including creating and performing music, photography, painting, glasswork, drama, dance, woodwork, digital media, fil making, urban art (that’s graffiti to you and me!) and even poetry.
Sunbeam House Services ran its annual Photography Competition in Summer 2010- The theme was ‘Who Am I?’ and here is a sample of some of the excellent pictures taken. All entries were exhibited in Bray library in June. Congratulations to all those who took part, the judges from Signal Arts Centre, Bray, were very impressed. Choosing a winner was almost impossible!

It just wouldn’t be fair to deprive the world of these magnificent works of art so Sunbeam House Services is committed to exhibiting and, of course, selling these pieces to the local community and the world at large. What follows in these pages is just a snippet of some of the work produced by these fine artists.

Many of Sunbeam House Services Artists are also very skilled in craft work and have been winning prizes in craft fairs around County Wicklow for some time now. Service users recently opened a shop in Bray to exhibit and sell their wares to the local community. Plans are also afoot to open a web shop to market any pieces of art that are for sale to the steady growing number of interested parties. Please check out www.sunbeam.ie for further information.
