I went to Australia in November 2006 with Slattery’s Escorted Tours Worldwide, along with 19 other people. I had a great time. The weather was good. We went from Dublin to London Heathrow and then on to Singapore and spent an overnight there. Singapore was a nice place to to see of wine making places and there also was a wildlife park. We went in to look at the animals and we fed them.

Then we went to Mount Camby for one night and after Mount Camby we went to Ayers Rock. We got up early one morning to see the sun rise and some of group went walking around visit and the hotel was lovely and so was the city to shop in.

After Singapore we flew into Melbourne for 7 nights. We went to see a few wine making places and we had a taste of wine. After Melbourne we went on to Adelaide and Alice Springs for 3 nights more. We had more tours to see of wine making places and there also was a wildlife park. We went in to look at the animals and we fed them.

Then we went to Mount Camby for one night and after Mount Camby we went to Ayers Rock. We got up early one morning to see the sun rise and some of group went walking around the rock. I went with them and it took me 1 hour and 40 minutes to do the walk. After that we went on to Cairns for 5 nights. When we got there we went down to our apartments and some of the group where not happy with them. So they gave use all free breakfasts for the next 3 mornings and people were happy with that. Afterwards we went on a coach tour around Cairns and on the express train and after that we went on the cable cars.

After Cairns we went on to Sydney for 4 nights. We went on a tour of the opera house and Sydney Bridge. I went on my own to the zoo and I enjoyed it. I took lots of photos and I went swimming in the swimming pool in the hotel. I went shopping in the city of Sydney by myself and the weather in Australia was very good. We only had one bad day out of 22 days.

When the tour was over we flew to Bangkok and to London Heathrow and then on to Dublin. The best place out of the lot I liked was Sydney and if I ever won the Lotto I would go back to Sydney because it is a lovely place to see. I would like to thank everyone who helped and supported me to make my dream come true and it came true, that was what I wanted all my life: to go to Australia, especially Sydney.
